Genomic & Expression Tools

Many promising pathways and molecules are difficult to access directly from marine organisms. I am interested in approaches that move from environmental and genomic information to testable function, including genome mining, eDNA and eRNA, heterologous expression, and cell-free expression.

These tools can help connect sequence data with biological activity and expand what can be studied from rare, unculturable, or logistically difficult organisms.
